Congratulations to Matt Homan who followed up his 2nd in the NSW states to win the Qld States from 21 entrants on Lake Cootharaba over Easter.
Thank you to all the intrepid sailors who travelled to all of our regattas this year to continue to fly the A class banner and show a number of other classes how we are now flying.
Another thank you to all our wonderful sponsors who supported us this year.
Harken, Gill, Fibrefoam, Beau Outteridge Productions, Chisholm and Gammon Real Estate,
The Vic Titles were held over the Labour Day weekend at Elwood SC. Lack of wind on Saturday and Sunday delayed the starting times, but the Racing committee managed to get all races run using the 2 lap option.
Congratulations to Steve Brewin (defending champion) who won over Dave Brewer by a point. Great turn up from the Interstate boys from NSW, SA and QLD.
This past weekend the NSW titles were held at Gosford in a variety of wind conditions. Once again well supported by Interstate members from Vic and Qld and a welcome visit from Daniel Philpott from NZ. Great to see 5 juniors attending and having great tussles on the water.
This event was won (at last) by Dave Brewer from Matt Homan, Scott Anderson, then Steve Brewin on a borrowed boat. This event was the first to have more foilers in attendance than non foiling boats.
Hope to see a great turn out for the QLD titles next weekend (Easter) at Lake Cootharaba.
