The Australian A Class family lost one of it’s pioneers in the last few days. Kerry Holmes was a Queensland A sailor during the 1970’s and early 80’s who mixed it with the best in the country and the world. He won two State Titles and multiple regional regattas before going on to win the European Title in 1979. He followed this up with an Australian Title in 1980/81 prior to the first World Title held on Botany Bay.
Kerry started a standard for Australian A Class sailors which continues to this day where we can take on the best in the world and achieve success. He was a fierce competitor who worked hard on developing new and better rigs.

We extend our thoughts and sympathy to his family and friends at this time.
