The 2012 Olympic Regatta is rapidly heading towards its conclusion. Nathan Outteridge ,who was runner up at the 2012 Australian A Class Nationals and is the current NSW A Class Champ, is holding to 1st place in the 49ners. Tom Slingsby ,another A Class competitor , is in the box seat in the Laser Class. Whilst nothing in a sailing regatta is ever certain until the end, the signs are good, and their history of success in their respective discipline is a very important prognostic sign.
The first Sailing Medal will be decided in the Finn. Here I think all Aussie A Class sailors should be rooting for Peiter-Jan Postma of the Netherlands who goes into the Medal Race in third position. Peiter Jan was another competitor who joined us at the Wangi Nationals.
Best of sailing to all.
